Cringe-Worthy

This is the FIRST non-homebirth video I've seen without a ton of interventions. Of course what do I know, that could be pitocin and a cocktail of other drugs in that IV. But oh my gosh!! I feel so sorry for this woman! I'm sure she chose to have all those people there BEFORE she was in labor, but during the video she looks like she wants to scream at all of them to get out. I know I would be! I don't know why she doesn't!

Now I understand why some women want to do unassisted births! Leave the poor gal alone she's not a monkey in a zoo!

But seriously this is what I mean about how hospital births are almost never "natural". No matter how hard they try to make the rooms look like home or let the woman go without interventions (one hospital I went with was really great about respecting my wishes on that) it's still a very unnatural and uncomfortable environment.

Scary huh! I need to post my home birth story for my daughter Rachel. Maybe I will do that today or tomorrow. I don't have video but I do have some pics. Much less disturbing than this!! :)
