My "Carbon Footprint"

Let me just say once again that I believe global warming is a crock and that reducing our carbon rate is not going to stop pollution.  We need to be focusing on what we CAN do for the planet.  This is just a distraction.  Because if the Earth is getting warmer, NOTHING we can do is going to change that.

However, since people often criticize the "carbon footprints" of large families as being too big, here is more proof that it is not always the case.

I just did a little carbon footprint calculator for my family of 5.  Here are our results:

Your footprint is 1.88 metric tons per year

The average footprint for people in United States is 20.40 metric tons

The average for the industrial nations is about 11 metric tons

The average worldwide carbon footprint is about 4 metric tons

The worldwide target to combat climate change is 2 metric tons

Doing my part to reduce "global warming".  How about you?
